Six string quartes Op.2, published in 1784, was dedicated to Haydn. Among them, No. 3 in G minor is particularly beautiful and emotional work. It is not so popular, however, there is a brilliant performance by Enso Quartet (http://www.ensoquartet.com/ ). It’s notable that the 1st violin part has no very high tone. Third positon is enough for playing.
It consists of the following three movements.
